Marge joined Choice in October 2016 as a Support Worker at Portchester Lodge and has since progressed. Alongside her progression, she completed her Level 3 and Level 5 qualifications in Adult Care, achieving distinctions in both.

Reflecting on her role, Marge says, “No two days are ever the same, and that’s what I love about it.”

Marge is most proud of seeing the people we support grow and achieve their goals.

“Whether it’s someone gaining independence, getting their first job, or building new friendships, it’s amazing to know our support helps people live the life they want to lead.”

She shared how supportive Choice were in her progression, saying “Within months of starting, I was given the opportunity to step up and take on more responsibility. The support I received gave me the confidence I needed to grow.”

When asked about a career in care, Marge says: “Go for it. There’s no such thing as failure – it’s just a First Attempt In Learning.” She adds, “This job is fun, and every day is a chance to make a difference.”
