CGT 2026: Our winners and runners-up
Every year, Choice Got Talent brings together the people we support and colleagues from across our services for a day of talent and unforgettable performances.
This year’s show was another incredible success, with cheers from the crowd and plenty of proud moments. We caught up with this year’s winners and runners-up to hear about their experiences…
For Bernie, one of our runners-up, taking part was all about having fun and enjoying the special day.
“It’s good fun and a good occasion to get out for, and it only happens once a year,”
Although he admitted feeling nervous before going on stage, once he started performing, he felt fantastic and was proud to finish as one of the runners-up. Bernie believes everyone should give it a go next year because “it gets everyone together as a Choice community and buzz off each other.”
This year’s winning duo, Neall and Kiana, both shared how much the support from their team encouraged them both to participate and built their confidence.
Neall explained that he loves singing and decided to enter after hearing positive stories from previous contestants and receiving encouragement from his support team. Before performing, he worried about remembering the words and had felt apprehensive. However, with support from those around him, he found the confidence to step onto the stage. He said
“I was blown away to win with Kiana! You can hope to win, but you never know because the talent within the homes is so good. Everyone is so kind, wishing you good luck.”
He would encourage anyone thinking about entering next year to do it, describing the event as “a confidence boost”.
Kiana said
“I was flattered to of been asked to enter and I enjoyed performing but also felt anxious, but my team encouraged me and kept me focused. I was very surprised to win because everyone who entered was so talented, especially the young girl who danced.”
Emma, another one of our runners-up, also enjoyed taking part, where she said
“My performance made me feel happy and joyful!”
Emma would encourage others to enter, saying, “Yes, I’d like my friend Jayson to enter because he likes to sing and he is good.”
We can’t wait to see what amazing performances next year’s Choice Got Talent will bring!
