2026 saw another amazing day of talent, laughter and fun at the annual Choice Got Talent – our very own talent show for the people we support to show off their skills! Dale, one of this year’s runners-up, spoke to us about his time performing…
Stepping into the spotlight:
“I love taking part in Choice Got Talent. It’s the best! I love singing, I love the excitement of the Golden Buzzer, which I was proud to receive this year. It’s such a fun event!”
Getting Ready to Perform
“Before the competition, Richard, who comes to my home to do music sessions with me, helped me choose a song. Once we picked the perfect one, we spend time practicing together so I could learn all the words and feel confident.
On the day of the performance, all of my support team come along to cheer me on. Having everyone there with me makes it even more special and I love seeing them enjoying my performance.”
Loving Every Moment on Stage
Before I go on stage, I feel really excited. I love performing and being in the spotlight. Standing on stage, singing while everyone is watching, is such an amazing feeling. It’s something I really enjoy and look forward to every year.
A Proud Runner-Up
Being announced as the runner-up made me feel so happy. It was a fantastic achievement and I was really proud of myself. The whole experience was so much fun, and it’s something I’ll always remember.
Why Everyone Should Give It a Go
I would definitely encourage other people to enter Choice Got Talent next year. It’s a magical experience where you can have fun and show everyone your talents. I absolutely love it and I think everyone should give it a try.
