Life at Heywood Sumner House
Heywood Sumner House is warm, welcoming and full of life – the kind of place where you instantly feel part of a big family!
Set in the beautiful and peaceful village of South Gorley, right in the heart of the New Forest, the home is surrounded by woodland, farmland and three acres of beautiful gardens.
The house is spacious and homely, with 12 bedrooms, quiet and cosy lounges for when you need some calm, a dining room and games room where you can play table tennis. There’s also a big kitchen where everyone can get involved in preparing feasts!
What we love doing at Heywood Sumner House
There’s always a buzz of activity, whether we’re enjoying time together at home or heading out to explore the beautiful local area.
Badminton has become a real favourite, and we’ve even hosted tournaments with other Choice Care homes – something we’re keen to make a regular thing.
Day trips are a big part of life here too – we go wherever, whenever to do whatever! Favourites include the zoo, the beach, farm visits and swimming trips.
The local farm shop is another much-loved spot – so much so that we can’t resist visiting daily!
When we’re at home, you might find us cooking together, enjoying a meal from our chef, or even breaking into spontaneous karaoke and dancing in the lounge!
