Gosford Lodge and Damien Massivi win in the Oxfordshire Care Awards 2026!

We are so proud to share that Gosford Lodge and Damien Massivi have both won awards in the Oxfordshire Care Awards 2026! The winners were announced at a Gala Dinner at the Oxford Belfry in Thame on 21 May. 

The Oxfordshire Care Awards 2026 recognises the outstanding people and teams delivering care and support in Oxfordshire. Gosford Lodge won the Team Award and Damien Massivi, Assistant Manager at Gosford Lodge, won the Long-Term Service Award.  

Going above and beyond at Gosford Lodge 

The team at Gosford Lodge, part of the Choice Care Group, were nominated for the awards for consistently going above and beyond for the people they support. The team stand out in their determination to help people live full, meaningful lives and experience opportunities that once felt out of reach. Colleagues take time to really understand everyone’s communication style, wants, needs and interests, which allows them to provide support that is calm, respectful and tailored to each person.  

Families regularly share positive feedback about the difference the team makes. They see the confidence their loved ones are gaining, the new experiences they can enjoy, and they feel reassured knowing they are supported by people who genuinely care.  

Long Service Award  

Damien won the Long-Term Service Award in recognition of his exceptional dedication, compassion and lasting impact at Gosford Lodge, where he has worked since 2012. 

Known for his calm, person-centred approach, he has built deep, trusting relationships with people we support. Damien’s influence extends beyond those he supports to colleagues and families alike, offering mentorship, stability and reassurance. His unwavering commitment and ability to deliver consistent, relationship-based care make him a truly deserving nominee.
