Celebrating Apprenticeship Success with Carla

We are delighted to celebrate Carla, Deputy Manager at Ciderstone House, who has been recognised with a Choice Care Apprentice Award for her outstanding achievements and commitment to growth.

A Journey of Progress and Opportunity

Carla joined Choice Care Group in 2021, beginning her journey as a Support Care Worker. Since then, she has progressed rapidly through the organisation, becoming Deputy Manager just over a year later in 2022.

“Choice Care gave me so many opportunities, such as completing my Level 3 and Level 5 qualifications.”

Excelling Through Apprenticeships

Carla is currently completing her Level 5 qualification, a demanding programme that requires commitment, resilience, and strong leadership skills.

Despite English not being her first language, Carla has never allowed this to hold her back. She has consistently applied what she has learned through her Level 5 studies into practice at Ciderstone House, demonstrating a genuine desire to improve the environment for both colleagues and the people we support.

Her confidence, determination, and professionalism continue to shine through, and she is on track to complete her qualification earlier than expected.

Carla’s approach to learning reflects her positive attitude and passion for development, embracing every challenge with enthusiasm.

Why Carla Won the Choice Care Apprentice Award

Carla’s manager says: “Carla was nominated for her exceptional dedication to professional development and her ability to translate learning into meaningful improvements within the home. The Level 5 qualification is no easy feat, yet Carla has approached it with resilience, consistency and confidence.

Her leadership skills continue to grow, and her commitment to improving standards, organisation and communication has had a positive impact across Ciderstone House. Carla’s journey demonstrates exactly what apprenticeships at Choice Care are designed to achieve: developing confident leaders who inspire those around them.”

Recognition Well Deserved

Being nominated, and winning, the award was a proud moment for Carla: “I felt proud of myself and recognised for my hard work so far.” On winning the award, she added: “I felt very happy and grateful for the opportunity.” Carla is also keen to encourage others to recognise the achievements of their colleagues.

Carla’s journey is a great example of how apprenticeships at Choice Care open doors, build confidence and support long-term career progression. Her determination, resilience, and passion for learning make her a valued leader and an inspiring role model.

Congratulations, Carla – a truly deserved Choice Care Apprentice Award winner!
