Stokewood is a detached, suburban home providing residential support for nine female residents of varied ages with mental health conditions such as schizophrenia and personality disorder, and associated complex needs.
The home, approximately two miles from Fareham town centre, has seven ensuite bedrooms in the main building and two, self-contained annexe rooms for individuals who prefer a more private environment, while still enjoying activities and interaction with other residents.
The home has a large communal lounge and dining area, a smaller quiet room, shared kitchen and utility. Outside there’s a wooden decked area and barbeque, a spacious landscaped garden, and a summer house for daily activities. Pets are actively encouraged, to increase the responsibilities of those in the home.
Several residents attend educational and vocational training courses at nearby colleges. The home has built a close relationship with a local charity providing opportunities for voluntary work. Transport is provided for leisure, recreational and educational trips.
