Sennen Lodge is a large, detached home that supports eight men and women, aged from their early 20s to 40s, with severe learning disabilities and autism. All residents are non-verbal.
The property includes four bedrooms on the ground floor and four on the first, with a lift available for people with mobility difficulties. All eight bedrooms are ensuite. Communal areas include a large, open-plan lounge and dining area, a smaller, quiet room for those who want some private space, and an area specifically designed for indoor day activities. This area has a fully-equipped sensory and IT room, arts and crafts room and a ball pool room. Outside is a patio and a large. safe, secure garden (home to Nachos, the house pet rabbit), which backs onto a woodland area that’s great for local walks.
Sennen Lodge is in Bitterne, a few minutes from Eastleigh town centre and the local shops, with easy access to Southampton, three miles away.
The home has its own Activity Coordinator who creates a structured activity programme to enable ongoing personal development through a range of individual and group activities. There is transport for visits to local leisure, recreational and educational activities. The residents enjoy bowling, swimming, donutting, trampolining, walks, picnics and going out for meals. They also go on regular outings to places like Thorpe park, Longleat and Marwell Zoo.
