Fritham Lodge is a large, detached, corner property supporting up to 12 men and women, aged 30 to 60, with mental health conditions and associated complex needs, including schizophrenia, bipolar and personality disorders. The home is five minutes’ walk from Shirley, a busy suburb just two miles outside Southampton city centre.
Fritham provides individual ensuite rooms, a large communal lounge, a quiet room, shared kitchen and large garden.
In addition to the main house, Fritham has a two-bed, self-contained annexe, specifically designed to support people, many of whom may have been in hospital or within highly supported services, to develop the coping skills that would enable them to progress towards more independent living.
Fritham is a lively and active home. It has its own Day Activity Coordinator who develops personalised activity programmes to support education and life skills, providing a range of engaging and meaningful activities, tailored to individual capabilities. There is transport for trips and access to local amenities like swimming and horse riding, cinema and pubs and restaurants.
