Emerson House is a brand new, purpose-built, residential community on the edge of Bristol, for up to eight men and women with learning disabilities, autism and associated complex behavioural and emotional needs, including those who are non-verbal.
The home was specifically designed to provide a contemporary environment to support the needs of the people living here. It’s bright and airy with six ensuite bedrooms in the main building and spacious communal areas, including a large dining room and two lounge areas, one designated a quiet zone, for social activities and relaxing. There is a fully-equipped sensory room and a large garden with a swing, benches and tables.
Additionally, Emerson House incorporates two, one-bedroom, self-contained annexes, each with its own access, suitable for individuals who benefit from a more bespoke living arrangement, but still enjoy participating in group activities in the main house.
The fully-trained, experienced staff team support individuals to develop their self-confidence and day-to-day independence skills. Our in house Positive Behaviour Support Team work closely with residents and staff to ensure each individual’s needs are understood and met. Everyone has their own daily programme of activities at home, including arts & crafts, cooking and music sessions, as well as in the community, participating in music groups, going shopping, swimming, to play bingo and volunteering at a local farm
The home is very well located for local amenities and transport. There is also a vehicle available for recreational and educational trips and visits.
