Dibden View supports nine people with mental health conditions, including schizophrenia, personality disorder, anxiety and PTSD. The residents are a mix of men and women aged from their mid 30s to early 60s. The home has a welcoming, family feel. Everyone is respectful and supportive of each other’s progress.
Located just a few minutes from Fareham and Gosport, Dibden View is a purpose-built, detached property, opened in 2016. The building is primarily on two levels, with three en-suite bedrooms on the ground floor and six more upstairs. Downstairs, there are bright, spacious communal areas for dining, activities and socializing, as well as a quiet lounge. As with all Choice homes, Dibden has its own transport for leisure, recreational and educational trips in the community.
The team of experienced care workers provides person-centred support on a 24-hour basis, helping each individual to progress at their own pace. All residents have an individual schedule of tailored activities to help them develop skills and confidence. Dibden also offers in-house positive behaviour support alongside on-going education, employment, leisure and social opportunities.
