Catherine Care Day Opportunities is in Norton Canes, Cannock with good links to the M6 and A5.

The Day Opportunities centre offers daytime support for individuals with learning disabilities, autism and associated complex needs. The environment have been designed to adapt to the changing needs of the individuals we support. With a busy daytime schedule, there are always a variety of activities for everyone to enjoy, including:

Our own allotment plot allows everyone to get out in nature and learn how to grow fruits, vegetables, and flowers in each season!

Arts and Crafts

Practice different skills, from painting and drawing to knitting, stitching, and nattering! Through both individual and team projects, we support the development of creativity.

Our drama sessions encourage teamwork, confidence, and fun! We practice acting, singing, dancing, signing and Makaton to showcase at our two annual performances and at smaller local community events.

Sessions are designed to develop individual communication skills and abilities.

Keep active with our morning wake-up and shake-up sessions. We also run Zumba sessions for all abilities and regularly go to the gym, play football, and ride on adapted bikes at Bikability!

Life skills and Tea Rooms

Focused on developing independence with daily living skills, we learn about cooking, home and travel safety, money management, meal preparation, food shopping, and effective communication.

Pampering and Wellbeing

Everyone loves to be pampered! Our Pampering and Wellbeing sessions focus on learning how to take care of yourself and others and the importance of good mental and physical health.

Rebound Therapy and Physio

Our team are trained to offer Rebound Therapy. Sessions on our trampolines will help take care of your body, supports emotional regulation and are great fun! With the additional support of physio plans, we encourage general movement, with our loud and lively, gentle exercise sessions.

Sensory and Complex Needs

Everyone needs access to meaningful activities. We offer a variety of facilities and sessions, including TAC Pac, water-based activities, and sensory spaces. Our intensive interaction principles and total communication underpin everything we do.

These sessions focus on learning about the safe handling of tools to create and plan projects together from start to finish.

Walking Group

Get moving for fitness, fun, and to explore the local area! Each walk is tailored to individual needs and abilities.

"When our son Jack left school, we had some trepidation about the future not knowing what services would be available for him as he moved into adulthood.

When we found Catherine Care we felt as though a weight had been lifted off our shoulders.

We have nothing but praise for the whole team. They do everything they can to ensure that Jack receives the support he needs, nothing is too much trouble, everyone we've met has a can-do attitude and, best of all, Jack has a great time!"
