Compton House, near Winchester, is an eight-bedroom residential home for men and women of varied ages with moderate to severe learning disabilities, autism and associated complex needs, including people who are non-verbal.
The property, opened in 2015, offers eight ensuite bedrooms and three separate, self-contained annexes with bedroom, bathroom, lounge and kitchenette. These annexes provide a flexible option for those who enjoy the opportunity to take part in group activities, but find living with other people challenging.
Compton House has grounds of around 2.5 acres and is located about two miles south of Winchester, four miles north of Eastleigh.
Residents are supported with 24-hour staff and our own, in house, Positive Behaviour Support Team. Like other Choice Care homes, Compton House offers structured activity programmes to support personal development, including ‘LD Club’, ‘Sensory for All’ and cycling, designed to maximise independence and enable everyone to achieve individual goals at their own pace. The home has its own transport for local travel to the shops and leisure centre, as well as for trips further afield.
