Carisbrooke is a large, detached, suburban property, registered to support up to six men and women of varying ages with severe learning disabilities, autism and associated complex needs. The home is located just a few minutes away from Caversham village, near to local shops and within easy reach of Reading town centre.
Carisbrooke has six ensuite bedrooms, three on the ground floor and three on the first. There’s plenty of communal space, including two lounges, one of which is designated a quiet area, shared kitchen, dining room, and conservatory, leading out to a safe secure garden with its own ‘sensory’ summer house.
Carisbrooke provides individualised 24-hour care within a safe and attractive environment, a bespoke programme of activities to promote ongoing personal development and the involvement of our in-house Positive Behaviour Support Team to support resident’s emotional and behavioural needs.
Residents enjoy visits to the cinema, local restaurants and pubs, cycling, and swimming. The home has its own transport for leisure, recreational and educational activities in the community
