Violent hate crime against disabled has risen by 41 per cent

Disconcertingly, hate crimes against people with disabilities has been suggested to have increased by a huge 41% in the last year. A recent study by the Leonard Cheshire charity interviewed police forces and found that not only have physically violent hate crimes of this nature increased rapidly, but perhaps less surprisingly, hate crimes involving an online element have also shot up. Is there anything more we can be doing online to combat this horrendous rise, or does the education have to come from homes and schools?
