Maria, Manager at Care Without Compromise talked to us about Kian's arrival.
Maria said: Kian moved to the supported living apartment in August – this was his first adult placement and he’s settled in really well!
Kian said: I’m 18 years old. I love singing and performing and I’ve been in lots of theatre groups over the years. In fact, I was even in a CBBC show many years ago! I love playing the guitar and piano as well. I went along to Choice Got Talent and really enjoyed that! It was the first talent show I’d ever been to. I really like going for walks and I like football too. I’m really happy here!
Maria continued: At Choice Got Talent, Kian got up on stage and led the audience in a rendition of Sweet Caroline, which everybody really enjoyed! Kian has been really busy since he moved in, he’s met with Lee Trundell a footballer from Swansea City and had a recent trip out to the lifeboats.
Daryl Quarry, Director of Services Wales said: As the first person to have moved into our new supported living service at Care Without Compromise , Kian and the team have formed a close bond, working together and learning all about people’s rights and responsibilities in a supported living service. We are all very proud of Kian and his journey thus far. We are very much looking forward to working closely with him to see what the future holds for this incredibly kind, funny and talented young man.
