Meet Adele, one of our fabulous Training Managers

DATE: 19.06.2023

What do you typically do in a day in your role?
I keep the external training platform updated – this is used for E-learning and our online training records. I book and prepare monthly training registers for different locations, send out and update training reports and book external courses for our new Choice Care trainers.

What do you particularly enjoy about your role?
I really enjoy the variety in my role, every day is different.

Can you tell us about how your role has developed in Choice Care?
I started in September 2012 as a Senior Care Worker. In October 2013 I went on maternity leave and returned in December 2014 as a part time SCW in another role. I then applied for what was an admin role within the central office. This turned into a recruitment & HR role which I started in 2015 and returned to when I came back to after further maternity leave. In 2019 I covered maternity leave for the training manager role and when she subsequently left in 2021 I took on the post permanently.

What did you do before you joined Choice Care?
Prior to working for Choice Care I worked in retail.

 Tell us about your colleagues
I love working in this industry as its really ‘on the go’ and I am always kept busy. All the staff are supportive and friendly which makes it also a great place to work.
