Hurst House, one of our homes in Swindon, organised a fantastic Heart Beat Fundraising Day in August to raise money for a defibrillator. The sun shone and people had a fantastic time while fundraising for a very worthy cause! There was a bbq, delicious cakes and lots of fun!
Tracey, Manager at Hurst House said: Thank you to everyone who came to support our Heart Beat Fundraising Day. We all had such a great time. An absolutely massive thank you has to go to all the Hurst House staff who put in so much hard work and effort. I am so proud of you all and the fact we managed to raise £1,250 for a defibrillator in case anyone close to us or our neighbours may need it, is just so amazing.’
We are very excited to report that the defibrillator has now been installed – right outside Hurst House’s front door.
Tracey explains: The box it is in is heated and it has its own light. The sensor light above the front door will also light it up making it easier to see in the dark. The defib is also registered now so if anyone rings 999, the location of the defib and code for the box will be shared.
