In light of the recent Whorlton Hall documentary highlighting the abuse of people in social care, a new campaign to install CCTV cameras in care homes has been launched. Health and Social Care Secretary Matt Hancock has weighed in on the debate, giving his backing to the campaign for CCTV cameras.
Whilst CCTV has clear benefits, such as identifying incidents of abuse, it also calls into question the privacy rights of the people we support.
