Hancock vows to fix "˜broken' system

Health and Social Care secretary Matt Hancock has announced that every patient held in seclusion is to be reviewed in an attempt to fix a broken care system.

The current nature of seclusion and long-term segregation is particularly damaging to not only the independence of people, but raises concerns over whether they are treated with dignity and respect with any control over their own lives. Quite rightly this is being looked into, let’s hope that a better and more humane alternative is found from this.
