Intensive Interaction pilot case studies
At Choice Care Group, we have many examples of how Intensive Interaction has had a hugely positive impact on an individual’s behaviour, overall happiness and wellbeing. This has particularly been the case for individuals with autism who had previously found communication and social interaction extremely difficult and confusing.
A young man moved into Argyll House in March 2010 who had had particularly difficult placements in the past.
Since introducing Intensive Interaction to the staff team at Beechcroft House, the Positive Behaviour Practitioner and Home Manager have been impressed and pleased with the team’s enthusiasm and commitment to the approach.
The staff team at Sennen Lodge was already using Intensive Interaction to some extent, so providing additional training reinforced that what they were doing was indeed correct and could be further developed.
