Introductory , Foundation & Refresher courses

PROACT – SCIPr - UK® was devised for the needs of people with severe learning disabilities and challenging behaviour. It is for all staff who work with individuals who challenge.
The course will cover the following areas:-

• The whole person approach - including:- structuring the day, management of the environment & why do individuals challenge.
• Recognising behavioural cues.
• Positive behaviour support.
• The importance of communication.
• Legal / Health and Safety issues.
• Calming techniques.
• Physical Intervention Practical.
