Springfield House is a large modern home located just two miles from Gloucester city centre. It supports seven females with learning disabilities, a mental health disorder and associated complex needs.
The detached home is in an ideal location, providing a safe and supportive setting but with easy access to Gloucester city centre and its amenities, including Gloucester Leisure Centre, local colleges, lively Gloucester Docks and the busy town centre.
The spacious accommodation includes two single bedrooms on the ground floor and five single bedrooms on the first floor, all fully en-suite. On the first floor there is another separate, large bathroom. We also have a communal lounge next to the dining room, which encourages communication and promotes a friendly sociable atmosphere. There is also a quiet room and a well-equipped, modern kitchen leading out to a small safe garden.
The large dining area also functions as an activity-based work room for activities such as dancing and pottery, which are run by external providers. It leads onto a patio area at the back of the garden, with steps down to the small lawn area, perfect for picnics during the summer!
The kitchen is fully-equipped to provide a good range of meals. There is a cookery group for all service users each week, to promote their daily living skills in a safe environment.
The home also has its own transport which is used regularly for activities in the community.
