Located just a mile from Waterlooville town centre, Parkwood Lodge is a large spacious detached home for seven adults with a mental disorder and associated complex needs. The home has seven single bedrooms, all fully en-suite, 3 downstairs and 4 upstairs. Communal areas include a large lounge/dining area, a further quiet lounge and a large kitchen. To the rear of the house, is a large conservatory equipped with computers for the residents to use. There is a safe, secure garden with patio and barbecue areas and also a greenhouse where residents can grow their own vegetables.
The trained, skilled staff provide full time 24 hour residential support and day care services. Our aim is to support each individual to develop their personal and independent living skills so they can get the most out of life and move on to more independent settings. A Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner works alongside the staff team to help individuals manage their behaviours and encourage a sense of wellbeing.
We have a day care coordinator who assists each person with accessing educational and recreational activities such as festivals, football, theatres, cinema, horse riding, pet therapy and much more. We develop individual timetables, based around each person’s preferences, individual needs and personal development. The home has its own transport for educational and recreational trips.
Parkwood Lodge is just a mile from the centre of Waterlooville with its range of shops and leisure amenities. Portsmouth city centre is only five miles away.
