Parkview is a large, detached house registered for seven adults with moderate to severe learning disabilities, multiple disabilities and associated complex needs. The home is ideally situated just opposite a large park in the middle of Tilehurst village, just two miles away from Reading town centre.
There are seven good-sized single bedrooms, three of which are on the ground floor with a spacious lounge, small quiet room, dining room, a large bathroom and a well-equipped kitchen. On the first floor are four further bedrooms and a separate bathroom.
Our day services building is set in the grounds and provides areas for sensory stimulation and relaxation, arts and crafts activities, and an educational room with computer facilities.
In addition the home has its own transport for leisure, recreational and educational trips activities within the community.
In addition to the main house, Parkview has a 1 bedroom annex. This property was designed to create an environment in which an individual could develop independent living skills in preparation for moving on to less supported accommodation. Currently, it is home to a young man who recently left school and who is now embarking on the first stage of his care pathway in adult life.
