Choice Care Group Open New Home in Bitterne
Specialist care provider Choice Care Group has opened a new home for individuals with a mental health disorder or complex needs in Bitterne, Southampton.
Chesham House on West End Road is set on a quiet, tree lined street with generous sized rooms. It will provide support and therapeutic input to eight service users as they move on from hospital and continue in their rehabilitation and settle back in to community living.
Chesham House is close to local shops, amenities and employment opportunities. Bitterne Leisure Centre which provides a swimming pool, gym and a host of other activities is only five minutes away.
Choice Care Group’s director of referrals and new projects, Tracy Bridgman said: “The emphasis of the support provided here will be on rehabilitation and recovery so as to enable our service users to continue to progress through their care pathway.”
“The ultimate aim is for our service users to live as independently as possible, perhaps with a package of support provided by our supported living provider, Excel Support Services.”
The new home is now open and welcomed its first service user on 8th August. Appointed manager Jon Barlett and his team look forward to making this home as much of a success as the other Mental Disorder services within Choice Care Group.
Choice Care Group provides support to over 300 individuals aged 16 and over who have a learning disability, mental health disorder and complex needs at 41 homes across Berkshire, Wiltshire, Hampshire and Gloucestershire.
