Easter Fun for Service Users
Around 200 service users at homes run by care specialists Choice Care Group got together to celebrate Easter with a party at The Venue nightclub in Reading on 7 April.
The event was organised after the staff Christmas party was cancelled twice due to the bad weather – so in the end the head office team abandoned that idea and instead decided to hold an Easter party for service users.
The music and dancing proved a big hit, as did the buffet and raffle, with plenty of chocolate-related prizes!
Rowan Cottage manager Becky Wardel took all seven residents of her home to the event, and said they had all enjoyed it so much, they wrote a special letter of thanks to the head office team afterwards.
She added: “It was the first time we had put on a party like this for everyone, but it went very well and was an absolutely fantastic evening.
“The residents of my home all said they had had a lovely time, and really enjoyed the food, music and dancing. They made new friends from other homes and felt very privileged that so many staff from head office and elsewhere had taken the time to come and talk to them.”
