Beechcroft House
Since introducing Intensive Interaction to the staff team at Beechcroft House, the assistant psychologist (Sally Thomas) and home manager (Amy Ranger-Pitt) have been impressed and pleased with the team’s enthusiasm and commitment to the approach.
In the three weeks since its formal implementation, the staff team has made a great effort to engage three of the people living in the home in one session of Intensive Interaction daily. Staff members have thrown themselves into uninhibited interactions with these individuals, all with very promising results.
It is hoped that over a period of time the service users’ communication and social interaction skills will improve and that they will experience an improved quality of life as a result.
